Now even though I'm editing on the timeline, I do feel more comfortable in the classic workspace, so I'm going to just go up here to the view menu, select workspace, classic. But basically we add a clip to our timeline simply by dragging it here from the media panel. We'll look at more closely why that is and how to add them to your clips later on in this course. Now it does have a limited library of effects that can be added on the editor timeline. Among its features as a fully functioning video editing timeline, the Hitfilm editor is capable of adding effects and transitions to your movie.
